Alongside presenting the weather and reporting for S4C's daily magazine shows, Steffan has also co-presented and produced several documentaries for S4C, one of which led to an RTS Cymru Award nomination in the Current Affairs category. Some of his work can be seen below:
EVEREST STEFF A DAF
It is nearly 70 years since Mount Everest was first conquered and in this factual documentary Steffan and his co-presenter Daf Wyn travel to the foot of the World's highest mountain to look at the connection between Wales and Everest. Along their way up the Khumbu Valley, they meet some incredible communities, see at first hand the impact of Climate Change on the region, and hear very personal accounts from Wales' first individual to ascend the mountain, and Jan Morris, who was The Times correspondent on the historic expedition back in 1953.
From the Clwydain Hills to the Irish Sea, the Clwyd Valley is full of history and character. In this one-off documentary, Steffan and his co-presenter Daf Wyn cover the heavy industries of the past to the green energy of the future. From the agricultural communities deep in the valley to the entertainment shows by the seaside, this special has got something for everyone!
NEWID HINSAWDD NEWID BYD
Climate Change is the biggest threat to mankind. In this factual documentary which led to an RTS Cymru Award nomination, Steffan looks back on a year of extreme weather in Wales during 2018, speaks with world-leading scientists at the fore-front of research into Climate Change, what the potential impacts are for Wales, and what pioneering technologies are developed in Wales to try and limit the effects of Climate Change.
Often overlooked due to its rugged terrain, The Berwyn Mountain range sits to the south-east of Snowdonia. In this one-off documentary, Steffan and his co-presenter Daf Wyn scale the range's highest mountain, visited Wales' highest waterfall, heard tales of the land including a famous UFO citing, to the communities and families that call 'Y Berwyn' home.
